Woman Found Dead on Wedgwood Street Early This Morning

Seattle police were called to the Wedgwood neighborhood early this morning after a woman was found dead on a quiet residential street.

Seattle Police Department spokeswoman Renee Witt says a couple were out walking their dog at about 6:30 this morning when they came across a white female in her 30s or 40s laying on the ground in the 9100 block of 27th Ave NE.

The couple called 911 and medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Witt says there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.
